Water in the exhaust port

BTW, my car smoked ALOT worse. LOL, I was probably a little too liberal with the assembly lube, but it belched out enough smoke to hide a battle-ship. Combined with the hylomar and anti-seize.. for the first hour or so passing airplanes had to climb to get better visibility. I was alittle worried about the cat but a later visual check looked OK.

Doesn't really sound like a fuel problem. Sounds more like a turbo control problem. Maybe re-check all the sequential stuff... wastegate, couplers, actuators etc. ?
Yep. Think I am going to hit a few of those today. Good idea. I am also going to look at the CRV & what is connected to it too. Jim, Sure am looking forward to that pizza & beer with greasy fingers & big smile on my face!

Ya know, I have a few problems that are frustrating with the car right now. They are enough to bring most people to tears but...after reading that last statement, I am going to be laughing too hard to notice depression over the next few days! This forum is better than Prozac.
Thanks guy!

Pressure tested the large turbo hoses & intercooler last night. Was looking for a leak that just wasn`t there. Another area checked.
Found one pinched vacuum hose on the charge control solenoid. After putting it all back together, took the car down the road. Had the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor twice watching boost build to 5 when I heard that familiar POP! Phsssssss, Phsssssssss when I stepped on the gas. Rats! Blew the air feed hose off of the cat. Had the thing double hose clamped too. Also blew a big hole in the hose before the straight metal pipe which leads to the hose which connects ( the one that came off ) to the cat air intake. I am really thinking I have a clogged cat. Just hard to believe that a Bonz high flow cat with 20K miles on it would plug in that short amount of time. I am trying to figure out a way to make a fitting or plug to run air into the cat so I can see if it is restricted or not. That thing must be trying to force exhaust gases out the air intake pipe because it is plugged so badly. All I can come up with. In the next few days, I am going to disconnect the cat & rig it with wire or something so it won`t drag on the road & take off down the street. I want to find out if a plugged cat will prevent me from making boost. Seems there is WAY too much pressure in that air feed line if I can blow a hole in a rubber hose & blow a clamped hose off a pipe. Something is seriously wrong here. Oh BTW, was having this same problem before the engine came out.

Took the cat off of the car today & took it down the road. That thing is a little louder than I like.
THANK GOD!!! I HAVE ALL THE BOOST & THEN SOME!!!!
Saw the thing make 10-8-10 & then once went on up to 12 on the secondary. A few times in first & second gear, was at 12 on the primary so let off of the gas immediately!!
Next thing on the agenda is to order another cat for the car. Going to look around today online to see what I can find & then order it in the morning. If any of you see an article in the national newspaper of a man being arrested dancing naked in his front yard in front of a burning catalytic converter, that guy was me.

Yeah. Just goes to show that with a little ( er...LOT ) of patience, perseverance, a forum, good advice, time & the FSM, one can get their car running again.
Glad to finally be where I am at. Taken awhile though. Good to see this project appearing to be near an end. Won`t be completely comfortable with all of this until the new cat is on & I am driving the car to see what it is actually going to do.
Thanks folks!
