I dont mean to be a dick, but you're 16 you have no business buying an RX7. They are very high maintenance cars and require a lot of respect and maintenance.

1) Go buy a civic and beat the **** out of it learning how to drive.

2) I suggest you gain some basic automotive knowledge before you even consider buying and RX7

3) If you get an RX7 for your first car 3 things will happen, You won't respect it, it won't respect you and you'll wind up killing yourself, or worse wrecking the RX7

4) If you get an RX7 for your first car, and "3" happens and you're still alive, I'll kill you so you're dead either way.

5) Earn it and pay for it your self, by the time YOU acctually save the money that you earned to buy the car you will be ready for it. If mommy and daddy just give it to you you will have NO respect for the vehicle.

I could go on but I'm done wasting my time.

Sorry I'm breaking your ***** kid, but its for your own good, you ( and your parents) will thank me later.
that **** is too funny then he switches to A's and B's

by brand new engine i mean a remake, sorry if i was misunderstood, and $2000 is too much for a rebuild. and "rebuild" i mean back to stock specs, not upgraded seals or porting. I personally haven't done one but people who I have asked said significantly less.

and let me just say real quick **** FORDS

I think this is a perfect time to show what a extremly fast car can look like after a month of owner ship in the hand of an 18 year old. PLease small children look away...

By the way...I have driven many fast car on a daily basis. Corvettes, camaros, trans ams, also a viper. Except for the Viper the FD is the hardest to drive. My advice.....Buy the mustang. But if you are hard headed like me. PLease don't push it until you have really learned to drive it!

Ok i feel i might have a little s chime in on. I'm 17.5 and bought a 1993 R1 higly moded RX-7. I got a good deal by researching for over 1.5 years on cars. and on RX-7's alone for about 6 months of it. I paid 15k for it. The guy i bought it off of was a credit card freak and went into debt about 17k. The only way out wa to sell the car. Note most of the debt was on the car. My & has around 400 Hp at 15 psi. And i'll tell you what if you think a 350Z has power you have never drove a RX-7. Soon i as i got the car ( which was worked on by JapTrix in Fl ) . I took it too SevenSpeed in wasington Pa about 40 min from my house. And justt getting it tuned and running right IE Power FC, ACT clutch, 1300CC Secondary inj, Vacume lines and all basic probs cost me about 4k. So i allready have 19k into my 7. I have no help from my parents with they payments what so ever other then they got me the loan. I took a 21k loan out. My payments per month are over 300 just on the car after insurance and gas i am paying well within 700-800 dollars a month. I work two jobs and do computer repairs on the side in order to own this car, My one job at olive garden pay's very well about the only reason i can have this car and still do other things. The other job is working at Champs in the mall. And it pays for little more than gas. Now for all of you who say i am too young and cant handel this power. 1. I am paying for all of it and relize what it takes to own one ths gives me far more respect and common sense about thsi car then anyhting else. IE i wreck it i'm fucked. 2. I joined the local RX-7 club, i have a track less than 30 min from my house, i plan on getting driving lessons all summer and i have common sense. 3. I have been driving and operating equipment since i was 10, my dad has a constuction company. So if you think you can handel 750 dollar a month payments and can hold 2 jobs and still think it is worth it then go for it. I love this car and wante nothign more than a sports car for as long as i can remembet. And for those of you who call me insaine for doing this your right i am but i'd have it no other way.

LOL at RX-7 KID.. breaking your back to own a car.. not something i'd do but, like u said,, crazy car makes you do crazy things. I'd like to see a dyno of your car if its making 400hp.. (guessing flywheel?) And I don't see why you guys put a .5 in your age?

Guess i would be 21.2 years old?

I added the .5 so you dont think I just turned 16...Thus just got my license and want a good car. I've been driving for nearly a year(2 months of stickshift experience)...Just dont want to be looked down upon for being young.
