So what does it do in higher rpms? Grind or something? This is why I don't race either. Its actually pretty pointless to tear your car up just to hit a number printed on a sheet. You know how much power it makes and you know the potential of the car. Besides its really just a street car anyways, so do what I do when someones messing with you cruising down the road....tear them a new ******* and be happy with what you got.

dude that sux....
is it just you, or are all these other guys that are racing their 7's on the track breaking stuff too. i mean, the RP/rx7.com say they race on the stock tranny, and their car makes upwards of about 600+HP.....what gives? is their tranny really a superman tranny? what about all the other guys like anthonyNYC that are running 10.1 on a t78, are they on an aftermarket tranny too????

Saruwatari (sp?) went fast on the stock tranny too.
Vosko, start taking a cab wherever you need to go.
Seriously though, my tranny does that sometimes, exactly what you describe. But my car has never had a tranny rebuild, and it was stolen and driven hard enough to wreck the clutch. Yours is supposed to be freshly rebuilt. This sounds like a synchro problem, just slow down your shifts a little.
