Turbos Gone At 65k

Well.. The turbos look FINE. No shaft play at all... Spin free.





They don't appear to be leaking the oil.. but oil is puddled right under the manifold... Is there anything else that could leak oil into the exhaust and cause all the goddamn smoking and puddling?

if you have a f'd up turbo....... wont the oil be building up in the inside of the turbos and intake piping....... shouldnt be on the ground

That's just what I was thinking...



How do I know for sure? I still have to take the rest of the manifold off... I removed the turbos from the manifold first... I still can't quite see exactly where the oil is leaking... But I'll soon find out I hope.

there is one easy way .... LOL



run the engine with no turbos on it and see if it still smokes like a bitch ah the beauty of MAP sensor lol

I can bet that would be just sick LOUD. Seeing as I'd have to run it open manifold... Uh... NO. I'll just ******* rebuild it. Hell, it has 65K on it anyway... Goddammit...

This is somewhat but would a N/A FD be slow?



anyone ever run their FD without their turbo's bolted on?

Only one I know of is a circuit car. It's a yellow FD. Completely gutted, tube frame (I think) and a N/A 13b REW. I'll see if I can find pics.
