Just wanna know what sort of exhaust temps people are seeing on their FD's?

Either external measurements on the dump pipe/ turbo or actual EGT's.

Thanks

What does your gauge read in Celcuis or Ferh?

Umm, it will read both.

I don't want to permanently install a guage, but just temporarily attach a thermocouple to see what sort of temps I'm getting and purely out of curiousity compare it to someone else's readings.

So it could be either C or F.

my EGT is located at the base of my turbo appx. 10 inches away from the engine.

When I had water injection and shifting at 9000 rpms, by the end of 4th gear, I would be at 920 celsius. When I heat wrapped my manifold, same shifting/gear, I would see 1000+ celsius with water injection.

Anyone know what stock level EGT's are?

What is considered conservative or safe?

What is considered high or on the edge?
