Brake Upgrade

My brakes suck when pushed hard. Yesterday I drove my FD around the local twisties for maybe 20mins and toward the end the brakes had faded to **** and smoke was pissing out everywhere.
The brakes are all stock with fairly new pads (stock compound) on board. It could also do with a fluid change I guess.
Is is worth trying different compound pads or should I be looking at upgrading disks and calipers too? The Brembo stuff looks nice. What are you other guys running?

Im gonna swap the pads and do a fluid change in the first instance. However it would seem these things will help a little but not a lot and also Im going to be a bit limited by the stock rotors getting chewed up by race compound pads
So I will also replace the front stock rotors with some cross drilled ones of similar diameter so I can retain the stock calipers which by most ppls reckoning are actually pretty good quality. The cross drilled rotors should postpone the fading a bit more.
Interestingly the link Cooper gave me talked about their 255hp FD overheating with the stock radiator...I must say that I have never seen the temp on my car rise much over normal and apart from the IC Ive done nothing to upgrade my cooling system other than provide a bit more breathing space in the bay by going single turbo and pod intake.

The fluid was prob about 18months old.

If you plan on road racing, do not get cross drilled rotors. After a period of time, through many heat cycles, they will crack. Go slotted instead.
