4 piston brake upgrade
HOWEVER...
I need a parts list... The vitals on the car are thus
87 rx7 base model s4 with single piston calipers
What am I going to need? Am I going to need new rims for clearance? Should I upgrade the rotors to vented slotted? I want this to be a daily driver/drift machine and I know that all good things will take lots of time but hell. Point me in the right direction.

Just get OEM rotors or Brembo OEM replacement rotors. They are all vented. Slots take away some of the surface area of the rotor and can develop hairline cracks at the edge of the rotor in time.
It's more common to replace the entire hub assemblies, swapping to 5-lug wheels in addition to the upgraded brakes.
Advantages:
better stopping power
greater selection of aftermarket wheels (also stock wheels from other makes and models, I run Mustang or BBS Camry wheels)
maybe some other stuff, but those 2 are pretty darn good
Things you will need:
5-lug hubs and brake calipers from a GXL or convertible or TII, whatever you have access to
brake calipers and rotors
the section of hard lines from the calipers (the 4-lug brakes have a soft line portion there), I can't remember if this is on the front only, someone help me out
it would be beneficial to you to also obtain the slightly larger brake booster, and proportioning valve from the donor car
The swap is pretty simple and straight forward. The hardest parts (not that hard) are probably removing the rear axle nut, and swapping the booster if you decide to do that.

So Its better to get the whole assembly from a donor car? All 4 of them? Would it work if I just got the calipers, put upgraded rotors and pads, and bigger rims?
I have found 4 lug rims that I actually like for a decent price.
