Aww man...good luck when you see her. I remember when my first FD got stolen, I was getting ready to leave for work so I went downstairs to warm-up my car, turned it on, took out my key and set my turbo timer to 5 minutes, I went back in the house to grab my jacket real fast, come back out, and see the mother ****** driving off with my car.
I felt paralyzed because I didn't know what to do as I watched my car leave me. But like 2 seconds later, I hear a loud CRASH!! And guess what! It was my car!! I guess what had happened was that the steering wheel had locked because the turbo timer turned the car off. He probably thought I left the car on with the keys in it. And so I go over there, and guess what...it was one of my classmates from college.
I shoulda beat the **** out of him, but I didn't. He got arrested, and my car was totaled. But at least I got some money out of it, but it's not even close to how much I spent on the car. I'm still recovering. I feel your pain...

so i am guessing that it still had the wheels on it right? glad that you got it back, hope that everything works out for you....and look on the bright side, if they total it, just let them, and then buy it back and find an rx7 with a focked up motor and transplant the heart and soul of your car into a new one....
Oh yeah, and to help myself recooperate from the loss, I bought a 2nd one and set it up EXACTLY the same as how my first one was, but then my girlfriend crashed it into a wall while driving on the freeway. Normally, I wouldn't get mad if it was an accident because it's not like she would do that on purpose, but a couple of my friends told me they saw "me" racing on the freeway.
I remember watching something on Hard Copy a few years back, and they were saying something like 70% of the time it will be someone you know or who knows you, or even an acquaintance. And also 70% of the time, it's planned.

kevin.
no turbo timers stay on and the wheel locks when turned. y have the key in the car with the turbo timer on. that defeats the purpose, might as well stay in the car with the key. if that was the case. shouldve left turbo timer on and locked doors or put alarm on. my car alarm before would just keeping beeping with the turbo timer on, neighbors used to get pissed for that amount of time left on. btw work2r, hope your car is alright and im sorry for what u went through those 2 days

They should, even my old Greddy timer has a wire that taps into the e-brake. As soon as the e-brake is depressed the car shuts off, very easy to install.
