thats odd, if you push start and it works fine then the ignition /fuel system sounds like it is working fine.

Are you sure ther starter is actually engaing the flywheel? If the bendix gear is shot, the starter motor itself will spin and you will hear it, but the gear does'nt come out to engage the flywheel. Nex time it happens, have someone standing looking at your engine, see if all the belts on the engine move while cranking...
just tried to start it and all the belts and pulleys moved

i'm gonna say.... leaky fuel injectors or low compression. might be time for the ATF trick

ok, have tried the fuse box method but it still doesn't start. will put out the plugs now. isn't it better to use motor oil on them than the ATF?

I had the same problem in my car but only if I went a day without starting it. I woudl just turn and turn but no fire until finally it'd start and blow a tone of smoke out for a few sec. I replaced my spark plugs and the problem goes away. I burn really rich anyway becasue of the fuel pump and go through spark plugs pretty often and it always happens when they've been in there a while. Try doing a tune up and see if it works for ya.

Yeah, I took out my spark plugs today and it's no wonder the car didn't start. About 1mm of coal on 'em. I am running rich though. Now I ordered '9 NGK Racing plugs which will be here by tomorrow. I'm sure the problem will be gone. Thanks!

Hey flame thrower. I have pretty much the same set up like you. Only that I use the Apexi front mount i/c. Have you done a dyno yet? What boost are you running? Base maps?? Thanks

Nah I havn't done a dyno on it yet, Waiting till I throw on all the parts to finish it to get it tuned. I'm still running a little over stock like 11.5. I dotn know what maps I have running, Pro-Tech programed my power fc for my car. When I finish off the performance mods i'll let ya know what numbers I got.
