Starting issue with a 1993 RX7. Cold the engine starts fine. Drive for about 1 hour, park car and wait for about 30 minutes and then go to start it and nothing. Let the car sit about 2 hours longer and then it will start right up. Battery is good and car starts easily. Starter is strong when it is working or the starter doesn't work at all. There is no in between, it's all or nothing. If you wait about 15 minutes after turning off, it will likely start again but no guarantees.

Any thoughts on this?

I know you said your battery is good.. But check your battery terminals. I had similar issues back when I first purchased my car and it ended up being the terminal connectors.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and assistance. Problem turned out to be with the second CPU in the car. There is a starter kill circuit which will disable the starter if a problem is sensed. Traced the wire from the starter and disabled the circuit.
