Thumbs up

Im new to this site but pretty familiar with rx7s. Ill get to the point here i did a engine swap into a 93 r1 that i bought. The car started up and ran perfect after some fresh gas and that was about a week ago. Yesterday idle started acting up so today i adjusted the tps, adjusted idle down as far as possible, checked and swapped the iac. The idle is fine car runs great but when i put in gear it starts to stall out. It doesnt matter if it is first reverse third ect. I have experienced about every problem with these cars possible but i am getting frustrated. Its a 5 speed with bolt ons. The only thing i can think of now is a trans sensor or ecu unless someone else has experienced this. Any suggestions are apreciated. Thanks

Are you running PFC or any aftermarket ECU?

I also agree that is electrical issues. Check all your wires and see if you have any cuts to the wirings.

I'm not sure about clutch switch as it usually only used for starting the car.

on this car it has a stock ecu. The only mods are exhaust intake 99 turbos and the jdm intake manifolds. When i push in the clutch idle goes up slightly when i actually put it in gear the rpms drop come back up alittle then drop even harder. Alot of the problems i personally see are in tb or solenoids but i did test the nuetral sensor and it is working. It seems like the ecu is compensating for putting it in gear but in the wrong direction. I am almost ready to unhook the sensor but im not sure if it is going to effect drivability. thanks for your input

Question..

So, when did the problem occur? After you put the intake manifold? Did you put resistors for the solenoids? Because JDM manifold eliminates quite of bit of stuff..

I have had that stuff on there from the begining. It eliminated egr and aws i used the american style switching unit attached to the lower manifold. I am just wondering why this only occurs when i put it in gear. I am going to mess with it some more when i get off work. If you get any ideas it will help or if i figure it out tonight i will post the solution thanks
