my brakes were less then good so replaced set up with ap racing 4 pots/ferodo ds2500 pads/braided lines/new master cylinder and bled the system fanaticly

problem pedal still feels spongy/brakes pull me up fine but pedal does not inspire confidence

rear calipers not seized

other then air in system still is it poss abs is knackered when i bleed with engine off get fluid at all 4 corners/with all valves shut and pump pedal pedal is firm and when engine starts pedal goes down a bit which is correct

has anyone bled the system with engine running before as read that mitsi 300gt need this as i am also running abs i wondered if this was a possability

hoping u guys can help as i am stumped

I've never heard of bleeding the brakes with the engine running. I don't see how that would make a difference. I would double check everything. Tight at the master cylinder, with no leaks? My guess is that you either have a leak somewhere or there is still air in the line.

Get some speed bleeders or a pressure bleeder. saves so much time...

did you keep reservoir close to full all the time while bleeding? not sure what else it could be besides air..

does that car stop you easily but just feel spongey? What happens if you tap the brakes first then press them hard? It could be a piston knockback problem that you are experiencing.

[/quote]car stops a lot better than before and only requires soft tap to get initial braking but pedal travel is further than i would like and feel doesnt improve with pumping am going to replace rear calipers as front are new ap 4 pots and then the abs unit and lastly the servo
