I also was about to buy a 3rd gen untill i got the insurance quote. now i have the 91 TII Maybe when i get enough money to pay it off in full i will buy a 3rd gen so the damn insurance wont kill me. Give me 2 years and i'll have one. that means i'll have 1 of each of the best models of every gen. 1 84 gsl-se, 1 91 tII, and soon to have ... 1 hmm.. i like touring, so 1 94-95 touring

yay!

I'll settle for the cheapest one out of each of the three generations of the 7...since I'll be modifying it to my standard anyways!...

If the motor is blown or has low compression I wouldnt pay over $7 for it. If the motor is rebuild or has real good compression its prob worth around $13 for a 93 with 88K. If the motor is blown the turbos are probably bas as well. You can get a mazda reman motor for around $2500, turbos for $800, and $1K or so for labor. Your going to have some misc thing here or there and its going to all add up to $4500 or around there.

Then there is the hassle of having it all done. If the motor was bad you should offer $7K then put $4500 into it that comes to $11,500 which is a pretty good deal. The car is worth 13K but you dont want to end up spending that for it because of the hassle. If you want to spend 13K you can just go get one that you can crank and drive with no problems you know what I mean. Thats why cars with bad motors are so much cheaper.
