Humm, little too far for me.. lol but thanks. I'm still wondering if maybe a vaccum line that became un-done or something like that could have caused the smoke or not. This smoke isn't really thick either, it's more of a mist/smoke look, I guess. Not that I don't believe Justin or anything, just really hoping it's not in need of a rebuild is all.. Mine isn't smoking because it's cold or just has been started or anything like that. It does seem to have alot of condesation on the bottom of the hood whenever I felt it, but I thought that could have been the result from the smoke.

Well... I'm pretty sure a loose or missing or even mis-connected vacuum line WOULDN'T cause the smoke.. There's no real relation. I *guess* the coolant passage in one of the turbos could be leaking causing the smoke... But I've never heard of that.. With over 70K on the clock, chances are you are approaching rebuild time anyway..
You COULD try some block-weld. I've heard you can get another 10K out of a motor... But I heard it can clog in the radiator as well...
I'm not sure if the hesitation and smoke are related... Usually a bad idle or hesitation is something else.. You might want to try new plugs, wires, resetting the ECU...
Did you ever start the car COLD with the Radiator cap removed to see if the exhaust gas is getting ionto the coolant?

Well, I'd rather not try to block weld just to get another 10K out of the motor. It would probably be better just getting a rebuild. The hesitation has nothing to do with the smoking as far as I know, that's just probably some plugs that need to be replaced.. I haven't checked for gas in the coolant yet. thanks for the info.

Hrmm, not sure really. I tried not to give it too much whenever it was smoking. But when it's just sitting at idle it smokes. I started it today and the idle was at about 1,500 rpms. I took it to a local garage to see if they could just check it out to make sure there are no lose or unattached hoses.

only be concerned like justin said if you think that it is coolant....and you will know...a little whiteish/blue smoke is somewhat normal....when you have coolant/h2o getting into the combustion chamber, you will see plumes of smoke, and not just a few....i mean ****** smoke signals and ****....that is when you know it is time for the real rebuild....
