Seconday Turbo Low Boosting Problems ? Check Here
#1
Hey guys, after driving around last night, I was noticing my boost was going 10-8-0. I would just all of a sudden after the transition (4,500 RPMs) my boost would just go down on a steady pace. Now, at first I thought oh god I need new turbos, however after Jio informed me it's most likely a solenoid or a hose, I looked into my Y pipe and everything was completly clean absolutly no oil. Im not worried about this anymore now.
The solution to my problem, for the most part, was due to a vaccum line that had split, and to a really shitty CRV pipe. Now keep in mind, my motor is 5k miles old and the hoses were all replaced with silicone and zip tied down. How could a hose pop off or cause problems within so few miles ? Easy, our cars suck. After taking apart the car, and pulling the CRV hose, i noticed many cracks in it as well as a huge peice just falling apart in my hands as in this picture.

In addition to this problem, the vac line directly behind to the left of the CRV hose was split right thru. I repaired the damage like so ..

I also added a secondary saftey by zip tieing the vac line lightly to the metal loop as to keep it away from the hot Y pipe of the turbos, which might have been the cause in the first place like so ...

heres another pic of the shitty CRV hose...

I hope this thread can keep someone elses RX7 on the road in the future. Not all the problems are always super hard to keep, and just because a car was done right, doesn't mean something wont break in 5k miles !

Just to let you know, your silicone may have split due to the zip tie. I had my silicone zip tied also but took them all off. The ties left little cuts in a couple of my hoses. The silicone was just to soft for the edges of the ties.
