Good day gents. I new here & wondering what kind of FD is this (i hope you could view the picture)? This FD has been left in a Bodyshop by its owner. The Bodyshop says that since the RX7 haven't been claimed for more that 5 years now since it checked in with them, the bodyshop can file a court case to consider this as thier's to dispose.

I have shown intention of buying the said RX7 but i wanna know first from the experts here if this i good car to work on.

Cuz the car is damaged on; the Rear right suspension, Front right suspension.

May i request for some assistance from this forum on this?

Thanks in advance -Bryan from the Philippines

Kababayan Amp, salamat!

I still have to find out if the frame is bent, but so far both fron doors close well. I'm scheduled to lift the car next week & see what lies underneath from all that dust & years in storage.

What's a R1 anyway? Is that like a first generation FD? Or could it be a TYPE R (wishing . . )?

Check out other pics of that project car . . .

R1 is extra oil cooler, stiffer suspension, suede-like seats, no cruise, no sunroof, and strut bar. It was pretty much the no-frills "race" version.

Watch for the same as any. Compression test if possible, if motor is bad you should be able to get it dirt cheap. Most everything else to check is pretty much the same as any other car.

R1s were a factory racing option, stiffer suspension, other engine options etc. But really what kind of moron would just abandon an FD...its just heartbreaking how neglegent some people can be, and most likely rich if he just left it there.

But anyway yeah, jump on it! Bring it back to its former glory and make us all proud.
