Simply untrue.

Check out these two pages for more information.

Here! and Here!
Interesting links, however I've seen full flow charts of them both online somewhere (I'll try to find) with both pumps tested at 11.8V instead of 12v and they were basically the same with the Walbro barely edging out the Supra at high volts. 11.8 versus 12 might not sound like enough to make a difference but look what volts does to the Supra pump and even at 12v in your link they are already SOOOO close when you get to 53psi and more, drop if down to 11.8 and the Supra's flow drops. Hell your not far from running 53psi at the pump just at idle. At 15psi your going to be close to 70psi depending on line and filter losses.

In addition to all that for the price of a Supra pump you could buy 2 Walbros and still have money left over to buy a set of 1600's cause you could make good use of them with all the fuel 2 walbros pushes

once you get past the 425 rwhp area the commonly used cosmo/supra/nippondenso pump starts to get into an iffy fuel delivery mode and we all know you don't want to be there. especially if your are running more than a bar of boost.

what to do?

oh, there are a bunch of fixes. you can run multiple fuel pumps or a big monster pump... that sounded like lots of screwing around in the gas tank to me. then while you are doing it your lighted cigar drops in the tank and boom. secondly, if you run too much fuel pump, you recycle your fuel between the tank and the tank and it gets warm. hotter fuel temperature equals less hp.

so i decided to do it the easy way. just go get a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump. they have only been making them for 20 years and they are a real fine piece of engineering. they have a great website w lots of info too. as soon as you reach boost, the Boost a Pump (BAP) boost solenoid sends an electric message to the control unit and the BAP sends more voltage to your pump. you control the voltage gain w an handy dial... between zero and 50 percent more voltage. your pump only gets juiced when you need it. from time to time i hear chatter about that the pump will degrade but if you do your homework you will find the pump will have no problem w the additional voltage. so run your reliable cosmo/supra/nippondenso pump w the BAP and make as much hp as you can and forget about your fuel pump.
