DEFINETELY! It will take you 10 minutes and cost you $10.00, do it! Everytime I cut a corner like that it comes back to bite me.

Indeed. When we did a Reman on an FC, my friend got a new clutch and had a pilot bearing to replace the old one with, why not eh?

Maybe you've already done this, but along the lines of "why not", you might want to consider a new clutch fork too, especially if your upgrading to a stiffer pressure plate. Just a thought.

the pilot bearing is located enigne or tranny side? I thought it was located in the engine side E shaft. I just got my motor from malloy mazda and i'm replacing the engine and tranny. This is the first time. I want to confirm that the pilot bearing is located on the engine side more specific in the Eshaft? shouldn't a new reman use a new bearing or do they just reuse old ones?

Doesn't the mazda reman come with a new pilot bearing? For 2500 bucks you would think they would replace a 5 dollar part
