What state are you in? My reckless driving ticket (102 in a 65) was thrown out "in the interest of justice". Long story but the bottom line, get a lawyer...and I hate to say that, because I really don't approve of the lot of them. But 1600 bucks to be free and clear was a bargain.

well then if you show them your speedo is incorrect cant they get you for fualty equip? in my first car... a '66 ford f-100, i was driving and got pulled over for speeding... my speedo was off by like 15 mph for some reason... and i told the cop my speedo was off and he was like "well son, do you want me to get you for fualty epuipment too?!" luckily he got radio-ed out to some emergency and let me go with a warning...
