Re Amemyia Intake
#1
I just installed my RE Amemyia intake system and it seems to drone (a low almost honking drone sound) from about 2500 to 3200 when there is no boost. Is this normal? Do other intakes do this, Most people tell me they can't hear it until I point it out and then they say it sounds fine, but it just bothers me.

Strange sounds are to be expcetd when you install after market intakes. I heard that the RE intake makes a "mooo" noise.
I think that has to do with the air pump feeder hose.
You can always just cap the four smaller hoses off.

i think dave is right..... its the air pump, and you hear it more upon decceleration rather than acceleration.
sounds like dying cow....i disconnected my air pump so i dont hear that sound anymore

The best set up for the twins IMO is the plain intake pipes that you can get off Ebay or from M2 performance.
You should just remove the air pump and block off the remaining 3 smaller intake hoses as well.
The apexi until will "mmooo" just the same. It has to do with the air pump.
so take it
