yeah, if you bend it and get it hot (heat gun hot, not on fire hot) it will bend to the right shape. go slowly, and it will take a couple passes. this is a 2 person job too. one guy to hold the heat gun, and the other guy gets their fingers burned

I thought chucks were fine. Thinner than RE Amemiya, but if you put enough tape/sealant...why would it matter since it woun't flex.
