Does anyone know what type of shock absorbers were used on the 1993 R1? I want to replace my stock shocks on my 1994 and wanted to use the R1 suspension. I've heard they are bilstein but I'm not sure.

They are showa shocks. The only place you can get them is from mazda parts counter.

The later rx7s in japan after 97 I think came with the bilsteins.

Do you think I could find them wholesale from mazdapartscheap.com or some other place besides the dealer.
