would a out of spec coolant temp sensor cause a hard start on a Power FC run car? does it look at the coolant temp for cold start enrichment like the stock ecu?

In response to your PM:

What mods are on the car? You could have an injector issue, a pfc issue, or an ignition issue. We need more info.

Stock turbos? Stock fuel system? Stock motor?

street port, 4 blaster coils running off the stock ignitor, have spark at all plugs btw, pfc w commander apex single, stock injectors. the car did seem to settle down nicely just at 1600 rpm any lower and it died. also the pfc showed a 50c coolant temp reading after a long idle.. pressure at start is 39 psi. compression is ok. fuel pressure does not drop off after shutdown. the primaries are new units. man after it stalled it doesnt start for ****. comes close but not there.

thanks

Sounds like something isn't set right in the PFC.

Temp should be higher then 50* after 1/2 hour. I'd check the wiring to the sensor and get a new one if everything looks good.

I'm pretty sure it defaults to running rich if it sees a temp sensor fault, but you could have other issues too.
