Ever thought bout a little antenna like the one on the Honda S2000???? I thought bout gettin somethign like that if mine ever broke. Great reception, but sleek and not too noticable.

Sounds like that might be kinda cool....

I just ordered a black plastic one for my FC through Victoria British. It was like 15 bucks or something.

Mine won't retract at all--if I just ignore it and take it through a car wash like that, will it snap off and do body damage?

when mine goes up it has a squeeking sound, and when it goes down it makes the squeeking sound and when it gets fully retracted it makes a loud buzzing sound...... i have seen these retractable antennas on e bay for around 40 bucks a while ago

Its not.....When I went to a Club Meeting over here all the guys made fun on it. I never paid much attention to it but it looks pretty ghey compared to the stock one. Best bet is prolly buying one of those $40 ones on ebay.

BTW: Mine looke like the one in the picture

I unhooked mine because it was pissing me off with that noise when it retracts. Just pull the plug out and leave it like that. Radio works the same and everything else.

Mine has worked through all these years: keep it clean & oiled for smoother operation.

Yup, that's what I did. Just go in the rear hatch in the compartment where the jack is stored. Reach your arm back towards the tail lights and you'll feel the plug. I always crank CDs anyway--all the radio stations play is **** in my area.
