i have a pettit ported motor, and it loped a lot when i first got it, however, as it broke in more and more, it idles better and better......11.5K miles and still going! STRONG. and no ecu on 10lbs of boost....any way.....



a hunting idle could be may things that have been suggested. i would not recommend the atf trick if the compression is as great as you say. is the car being pre-mixed with the pettie pro-tek-R? if so, i think that you will find that their mixing oil causes more smoke. at least i did. as far as the idle is concerned, give it a little time. that is unless you are talking about the idle hunting +/- 500 rpm everysecon, as this can easilt happen with the incorrect tps adjustment.....
