Painting The Radiator To Keep It Cool?

sup ppl,







if a radiator painted black will cool 15% to 20% better than an unpolished aluminum/copper radiator.







is this true??????????????????????????????????

If it were true, dont you think rad. manufactures would paint them black for the said benifits?

send it to swain tech coatings and have the heat extractor coating put on it.....like a polymoly coat for pistons...

Paint is an insulator. You would need a special coating that transfers heat better than the bare aluminum. Typical paint will not do this, but the previously mentioned swain coating may.

Yeah paint is typically an insulator. There may be a special material that works.



LOL, almost like saying if you paint your windshield you would be able to see better at night.
