Quick question...

What happens in a 3rd gen when you hit redline? Is there a buzzer of some sort? Is there a fuel cutoff? Is it even possible to gas it above the redline?

If you can, what would typically happen if you did? What type of problems might the engine develop?

Thanks,

Mike

there is a buzzer, and you will bounce off the revlimiter. I'm using the PowerFC so i do not know if it will do the same with a stock ecu.

Thanks for the reply...

So, pretty much it's not too possible to over-rev the engine?

Can anyone confirm with a stock ECU?

Thanks again guys!

Is there also a rev limiter with the stock ECU?

If not, what would happen if you over-rev?

I know this is a stupid question, but please humor me...

well i would imagine if you over reved it would break stuff just like any other engine....i mean the term over rev in itself seems like a bad term. so moral of the story dont over rev
