Ok, here's the thing. I took my car to my friends shop to replace the engine. a malloy mazda reman was installed. He also did the FULL non-seq. mod. Got rid of all emissions, new koyo radiator, intake, full exhaust, MBC, and a rx7.com reprogrammed ECU. Everything is done now and ready to go. A little while ago I posted how the car was flooding. Thanks for the help guys cause it turned out to be a stuck injector. Now, of course something else is wrong. They said when you start up the car the guage says its over heating. I've never heard of a car over heating at idle....especially with a new radiator and engine. Any ideas on what could cause this? Thanks for your help guys.

shoot, umm. is it just the light coming on or is the car actually over heating? mayeb a bad sensor, not enough coolant in the rad? did u replace the water pump and thermostat while u were in there?

not sure if its actually over heating or not. I don't have an after market guage yet. But the light is coming on, on the stock gauge. I don't think its a new T-stat, but it is a brand new water pump.

the light and buzzer is the low coolant warning.. just continue to bleed the system over the next week and you should be fine.

Make sure you got all the air out of the system.

yeah, the light coming on does not mean it's overheating, it's telling you you are low on coolant. Rx7's are a pain in the *** to get out all the air pockets

*UPDATE* It was the sensor. The stock guage climbs all the way up. But we installed and aftermarket and its great. Thanks for all your help guys!
