1. i hear a clunking sound when maneuvering while parking. is it due to the suspension(hks hipermax) or something i should have looked at?

2. oil pressure. factory gauge reads close to zero at idle, but goes up with the revs. is this normal?

3. the car came with a greddy turbo gauge with the non american readings(mmHg and kg/cm, something like that). ito suggested getting a psi one. what are yer suggestions and would it involve more than just unplugging and plugging the new one in?

4. how hot is too hot for an FD? as per commander ive seen it go as high as 104c.

5. i miss my SE....

thanks

1. Bushings. It's normal for a clunky *** end... You can replace them as it's likely they are worn out.. But it's $$.

2. Factory gauge sucks *****. You can clean the connector at the sensor right under the oil filter pedestal.

3. Learning the conversion is easier... And cheaper. But you can just swap gauges yes. Remove vacuum gauge from one to another... As well as wiring for a light. *think*

4. I = teh suck at Celcius.

5. I miss my turbo teg.

LMFAO, you take the celcius temp. and multiply it by 1.8, then just add 32 and voila, you get the farenheit. So it's like this:

104(1.8) + 32 = 219.2F

and to go back:

(219.2 - 32) / 1.8 = 104C

My FD leaks oil from somewhere, idles crazy (broken intake idle-air valve), and clunks a little from the back end.

I miss my Si and my miata...

I have a ? that ties into his...when do you start to worry about temp...what is normal I have a apexi commander and it reads between 85c-95c...is this normal. I plan on autocrossing it this spring and would like to know if I need to upgrade the cooling sytsem...I do know that rx7 do not like heat!

Mine runs anywhere between 87 C and 94 C. I thought that was pretty hot. I mean heck, the water is almost boiling in there. I think if the cooling system weren't pressurized, it just might!

before anyone tells you in a mean way, you should "search" the forum for questions you may have before you ask. Sometimes you'll find the answers you're looking for.

I think the oil pressure sensor/sending unit is supposed to be pretty crappy and gets fouled up easily. People suggest you clean it or replace it. I just deal with it.
