Hey Everyone:

I'm new to this forum and new to the world of the 3rd Gen RX-7s! I recently purchased one with a few "problems" but I think a lot of potential.

Here's my question:

I have been getting it running (sort of) and have noticed a steady dripping of oil under the turbocharger area. I will have to jack it up to really be sure but what are the possible sources of oil from this area? I guess it could be from above the turbo but I didn't really see any source there.

Any ideas?

Here's a kind of bad picture of the area where the leak is coming from.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

You'll have to get under it, but a common source is an oil return line for one of the turbos. I'm not sure why, but it seems like the secondary (rear) turbo is most prone.

It sounds like you have at least some experience with wrenching, so if you haven't already you'll want to download a FSM (Factory Service Manual) from any number of on-line sources.
