my FD started leaking oil i got it up on a lift at my friends work and took off the plastic crap and started looking but the mang came out and didnt like me having my car on a lift so he made me leave but the leak was above the lower radiator hose cause its runnind down the hose and dripping on the ground. the oil pump is covered in oil and im guessing the leak is above that. Does anyone know a comon place where an oil leak could happen around there?
thanks Josh |

i'm just gonna take a shot in the dark and say its your MOP.. (metering oil pump) which is the oil pump you described, if its covered possibilty of it leaking is high or one of the MOP lines.

Josh I JUST finished doing the front cover seal on mine so I am very familiar with what could possible leak. If it is by you mop there are 2 plastic lines that run up to your Lim and inject oil at different rpm's. These 2 lines have small banjo washers that seal them to the mop. It could also be the front cover. I think what you need to do is seriously isolate the leak. Use some brakleen and clean ecerything in the general area then run the car afterwards and see if you cant simulate the leak. Let me know if you need any help I think I have mastered the front cover. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
