I got a new 93 with a pretty paint job; now I have to put the working parts back together under the paint job! Item 1) when in park or neutral, the idle is way fast (2-3k) and oscillates at about 1hz. Is this the TPS? but what explains the oscillation? Item 2) RR wheel bearing or universal or ? noises; how to isolate and diagnose? Item 3) Car is lowered in front and is harsh riding. Is there a way to "un-lower" it maybe; and would tunable strut shocks smooth it out? Item 4) How does one open the driver door interior panel to track down a rattle, without breaking fasteners and stuff? Item 5) Rear wing, and rear hatch is too heavy to stay up, just new hatch struts? or are there stiffer ones? Item 6) The Bose CD-radio play, but only quietly, any history of hookup questions or amplifier output problems? Item 7) Radio antenna does not erect, any way to check for voltage and operability of antenna and on-signal from the radio? Item 8) Interior lights do not light when the door is opened; checkout sequence? Item 9) Right door exterior handle is loose and one of mounting bolts is moderately stripped; is there a standard fix for this? Item 10) The R1 cloth seats are better than the touring leathers; are they bolt compatible? Item 11) The center console top is a bit dogeared; are there aftermarket alternatives to the Ma$$$da new part replacement? Item 12) Door key on right seems not to insert all the way, cannot use for passenger side entry; any folk wisdom on cleaning or replacing the barrel? Item 13) The paint is really pretty.

#1 adjust your idle set screw.

#2 pull off the wheel and inspect the area for damaged parts

#3 buy and install r1 stock suspension.

#4 take off the screws. one at the front edge two or three on bottom one in the handle and one behind the plug in the door.

#5 yes you need new struts.(make sure to replace them in pairs.)

#7 the antenna coil is broken. get a neused one from www.mazdarecycling.com for about $40

#8 I agree with amp, check the fuses and the bulb.

#9 you can run a die over it and try to fix the threads.

#10 Yes any seats from a 93-95 rx7 are interchangable.

#11 No but alot of people get them painted. Any bodyshop can redo it for you If you dont feel like doing the work and research yourself.

Good ideas and info. Thanks.

Have to educate myself on helicoil. Sounds easier than retapping larger.
