I just bought a 93 rx-7 . Its bone stock, but w/ high flow cat and muffler. I'm ready to get some mods for it. My first thought was I need a turbo timer...so, I thought Apex. Boost controller..Apex. I thought about trying to go dual exhaust w/ one pipe per side like my 87, but not sure if it would work..or even be worth it, and even what kind to get Hks..apex...etc. Intake...Apex power intake, or that airnix intake(single or dual) Some pulleys...maybe unorthodox. Front mount intercooler...not sure what brand. Radiator...maybe fluidine. And then later the turbo..and I'm totally lost on what kind...there's so damn many..thinking about a ceramic ball turbonetics. So, everyone please make suggestions on all the different types and which ones have the better gains, and add some other things I would need. Not sure of what power gain I'm looking at...cause I don't really know what's it capable of. Thanks alot.

You are in great shape for the next upgrade. Saftey First ........Petter Ferrel Intercooler and SRmotorsports ulitmate rad. The intercooler is one of the best you can get for the rx-7 increase cooler area three fold and does not chage air direction and total volume as much as a front mounted, and no one comes close as far as cooling then the ulitamte from SR not even fludyne, don't buy the hip buy the best SR. Then after that APEX-R boost controller with downpipe. DO NOT!!!!! DO NOT get a downpipe without a boost controller. As far as downpipe go a good $200 to 300 stainless steal will do. Also buy some fiberglass wrap and wrap it up pretty well to keep you O2 sensor at the right temp.

Single turbo wise it up to yoou i've haven't heard anything bad about the big brands or anything special either. I would just spend the 2500 and pettit the old ones

some people like the look and the high boost of the single but i say well you lose the low torque and a Pettited twin turbo will put out the 16-18 like the big boys and you still come out about $900 ahead. also they come twin turbo thats whats make them Rx-7 third gen's special the twin turbos

if anyone give you sh*% about the single turbo''s will make the whole rat's nest easier can blow it out thier a@@. the vaccum stuff is 80% emission stuff and if you get a boost controller like you should then the other 20% doesn't matter becuase you won't use it.

intake wise remember "cool air" not cool looking apex intakes that get's it air from behind the radiator. PFS makes a get box that get it from the front.

also with any upgraded intercooler over stock will reduce detotation. infact witht the PFS interccoler or lagre front mounter ones you really would'nt need the J&S knock sensor.

quick note the stock knock sensor is pretty much worthless after 6000 rpms ........... isn't that great news ;-)
