I did that on my car along time ago. Works pretty well and looks cool. Do a search for shark mod.

I can't find the pics. I'll post them when I get back home after work.

Silver Ninety Three, I'd love to see some pics of what yours looks like.

I appreciate all the comments and criticism, everyone seems to be thinking what I am. At first I kind of liked the exposed metal, but the contrast has gotten to me and I agree it needs to black or CF. The spacers are pretty nice but they are too thick/bulky, I have some thin aluminum rod I will cut to size and paint black. I'm not sure if I feel up to spending $150-200 on a nice piece of CF yet since I just bought an EBC, sure would be nice looking though. The most important thing to me is that it works, now I just have to make it look that much better.

I found the link to the other thread you mentioned:

FWIW I hadn't seen those images before, but I did see ccarlisi's thread on the other forum where he cut his touring lip in the center and used it as a spacer. His comments on the thread above explain almost exactly how similar our mods are, although in all honesty spacing the lip off the bumper and bending it a bit looks odd to me.. but then I am sure mine looks odd to a few as well.

Be sure to catalog the water temps and/or air temps too. I'd like to see how much of a difference this would make at cruising speed.

I'll be doing that this weekend for sure.. it's been like 3 weeks since I drove it so I am itching to get behind the wheel again.
