I opted for the removable center section. The couplers fit very tight and are difficult to move (as evidenced by the peeled off paint). Also, due to residual welding stress, the bar sprung when the couplers were removed. I nearly busted a gut getting it back together. Good luck trying to do it inside the car.

Reinstalling the carpet is a bitch. There is a tab holding the bins in somewhere in the green circle area. It's impossible to get the carpet back over this tab after the bar is installed. Also, there is a plastic clip that attaches the bins to the side panels directly behind the bar. I suggest cutting the carpet after the bar is positioned, but before it's bolted in so that you can access these areas.

315 I think. I spent extra on the removable center section and paint. Neither of which I recommend. I could peel the paint off with my fingernail. It's obvious they didn't do any prep before painting. I had to sand the entire thing down and repaint it. As you can see from the pics, I did scratch it up a little during install. I suggest powdercoating the bar.

Kirk's prices have gone up slightly since I purchased the bar.

I don't know, never dyno'ed the car. It's nothing special, just a stock engine/turbos and all the bolt-on's.

I didn't buy the bar for straight line purposes.

That's what I figured, I thought it was a circuit car. How often do you hit the track, and how much of an improvment do you think the cage should make in body rigidness? Also, what kind of suspension work have you done?



I'm just asking since I'm not a big fan of drag racing either.

Mine looks different.. the rear harness bar goes all the way on mine...



Yes it is a tight fit... but I didn't have to trim anything yet... just need to trim the covers..
