A few pics and notes on the install of a Kirk roll bar.

Note the green circles. Many people have issues with the bar contacting the hatch struts. I had the cheat the rear diagonals over slightly to alleviate the issue. Notice the relationship of the diagonals vs. the stock strut bar mounting bolts. The main hoop is in straight.

Note the blue circles. The drivers side seat doesn’t really fit into the recess. It contacts the main hoop on the outer side if you put the seat in pimpin’ position, and there is plenty of wasted space on the inner side.

The shoulder straps of a 5pt. harness fall right on the curve of the bar. Either tabs will have to be welded onto the bar or an eyebolt added to keep the harness from slipping around the curve.

Close-up of the pass side diagonal. The circled bolt goes through the hole in the stock jacks mounting point. This was done because of the aforementioned interference with the hatch strut.

Drivers side diagonal mounting point. I wraped the fuel door release cable with tape so the bolts don't chafe the cable.

Did I mention it was a tight fit over the rear strut towers> The drivers side diagonal had to be cheated to the outside to clear the stock strut bars mounting points. Notice I had to notch the plastic panel surrounding the strut to clear the diagonal. It hurts to take a dremmel to a prestine interior.
