This ain't my first turbo car but it's my first jap car.

Previous rides include a 01 A4 1.8t Quattro, 01 S4, 97 M3 Turbo and a 95 E320 Turbo...

OK you have some money... so parts aren't going to be a problem for you, i can tell...

Curious bout a couple of things. I have heard rumors that the american rx7s have had cooling problems cuz they got a smaller radiator than the jspec ones. Where can I get a jspec one, if I do need one?

They are the same, as stated earlier.. you can buy a FLUIDYNE radiator for it, its a direct replacement, all aluminum construction.. looks great. You can also buy an AST elimination kit from m2performance.com to eliminate the AST problem. Also i would replace all your coolant hoses as they are probably worn and old. DO a complete coolant system flush.

I really dig the body kit from Initial D that Keisuke drives, wut kind is that?

I think its an RMagic kit.

Is there any type of 6 speed manual i can toss in the car for a reasonable price?

GReddy and i think HKS made a non-seq 6 speed racing transmission for the car, but retails at 15,000$ and you can only order it in Japan. There is also a factory Mazda 6 speed transmission that was available, but its pointless... 4th gear on our cars in standard gearing runs out to 140mph. If you haven't made your point by then...

Also who makes the front hood kit that integrates the lights into the body so they don't flip up? And has anyone added HID projectors. Also is there a way to get those '00 and '01 projector driving lights to fit into a 94 bumper?

www.rotaryextreme.com they have a HID sleek headlight kit.. 1500$ i think? The corner lamps are from a 99spec and you'll need either a 99spec front bumper or a kit that incorporates them..

I figure most of the other things I will learn as I go...

Learning curve on these cars is steep.. one wrong move and BOOM...

I plan on using a stand a lone ECU such as Motec.

Again money.. you can get a HALTECH or APEXi PowerFC for cheaper and it will do the same thing. Plus with a HALTECH or PowerFC there are plenty of people who can give you maps or support.

My Advice. This is your FIRST ROTARY car, you need to read, learn and breathe it. Its going to cost you a whole **** load of money if you **** up. Just take your time, do ONE modification at a time. Our cars are fickle, and doing a BUNCH of mods at one time is not good. It can be hard to trouble shoot a problem. While the car is in pieces i would suggest going NON-SEQUENTIAL to eliminate and future Sequential turbo problems or vacuum leaks. There is a LOT of literature floating around the internet about how to do this and what to expect. Just take your time!

Hey any you guys ever want to get together with some s4s and have some fun?

Well i'm in FL, raced a couple S4s, not much to em'

come to think of it, i've never raced a German car that could beat me, M3, 911TT, hmmm maybe you have some really modified ones in your group? Think it would be cool.
