Ok well in my last thread, I was having an issue with it not going past 2500 rpms very well, now I'm having an issue with any time i give her gas...

She's been running fine this entire time until last night, she flooded out on me, let her sit for a bit, then pulled the fuel pump relay, and she started right up. Cool, this morning, she started fine, and drove fine, didn't get on it until I was heading home from work. After she warmed up to normal operating temps, I went home, and got on it, and she sputtered...hmm ok weird. Prior to this 1st and 2nd were fine, I would get on it until about 4500 then I would let off (rebuild so taking it a bit easy), but today, she wasn't having any of that.

Noticed that I was a bit low on gas, went ahead and put half a take in hoping that it would fix my problem (checked oil too, and it seems pretty good), and still hiccups. It seems to only happen after 3000 rpms. (I'm also aware of the 3k issues FD's have) Anytime I give her gas, she seems to burp, hiccup, studder, hesistate whatever you want to call it. I haven't checked the plugs yet, but I was wondering if someone could give me an idea what to check.

My opinion is to do a check on the TPS back in the day my S4 N/A was giving me trouble any time i touched the gas and i thought to my self tps tried an old one i had and fixed the problem. i did calibrate it also when i replaced is so mabey the old one needed calibration. just shooting out ideas

Ok I did some more testing this morning, the car has -40 kg/cm (I think that's right my boost gauge is in bar), that's when she's warmed up, no strange idle, idle high until she warms up, and it seems to come to a dead stop at .7 bar/5 psi, so I'm gussing I'm having an issue with boost transition....if someone can chime in, I tried to search but it's saying my string is too short...

Ok so I put a new ecu in, and guess what? The car runs great! I also have the o2 disconnected but yeah it runs great. I'm still only getting .5 bar though, evne all the way up to redline, the car idles great so I don't think it's a vacuum leak

To clarify your boost/bar readings..

1 bar = 14.5 PSI

Therefore .7 (bar) would be converted to psi by .7 x 14.5 = 10.15psi aka stock boost levels, NOT 5psi.

Your current reading of .5 bar is 7psi, this is pretty low.

When you changed your ECU what did you go from, and come too..?

Yeah I mean't have bar not psi, my bad. Anyway I went from a type-r ecu to a usdm r1, out of a 94, doesn't seem like she goes past 7k either, but I really haven't taken her up there with the motor.

uh and the check engine doesn't come on...at all, I think the bulb is bad.
