I say you should learn by MY MISTAKES and DO NOT SELL IT!!!!! Until the wheels fall off. TRUST me, you will kick yourself in the **** all day aftwards. I still wish I had my red 7, even over my CYM. People think Im nuts, but there was alot of sweat and tears (KDR 5000motors later) in that car.

DONT SELL IT!!!

[quote name='j9fd3s' date='Apr 5 2005, 05:47 PM']id say put it closer to stock and ask 20k for it. nice fd's are hard to find. we've got one in the shop now that they want to sell for 18k, its orange, horrable paint, c west kit, motor is rigged, and it doesnt leak so much as spray oil out.

The problem is most people can't afford the car because it's hard to get a loan. Especially when your asking 110-130% above the loan value. I put mine up for sale once just to see. I was asking 25K for it and felt it was worth it but the best offer I got was 19K. That was a little lower than my sell point. To get my car the guy was going to have to take a loan against his 401K just to cover the difference from the loan value. I couldn't do that for a car, maybe a house but not a car.

I think stock cars are easier to move than one that's modded.

I bought mine with most of the current mods (big turbo, full suspension, wheels, seats, and lots and lots of little things) for 22k, simply because it would have cost me 10-15k to build her this way on top of teh price of a stock one. Only had 50k on the chassis, 2k on the RA rebuild, so that helped too.

If memory serves me, I only got $22k for my red 7. ****, I had every bit of $50k into it. THats why its not worth selling. You loose your *** soo much, the couple bucks you makes isn't worth it.
