theres the factor of reasoning behind and time frame on the forsale..

that would affect the tag you place and what youd settle for..

as far as shannons comment of 93 not bein worth 20k..

ive had a few offers within the last year a bit above that...

Jio... i just said "in my oppinion" they're not worth 20K. 12 year old car that is qwirky as hell, had the worst interiors and bad paint jobs of all of the FDs. Would rather have a lower priced one and "fix" it the way that i want..... and besides... yours is yellow. who wants yellow?

I wonder how much (if any) the region/area of the country has on the selling price. I don't have numbers, but it seems like the coasts, especially west coast, bring slightly better prices. Here in fly-over country, I think you'd be asking about 16k.

All you need is ONE buyer who wants it at your asking price, no matter what it is obviously. The only thing that dictates a market are the buyers, not the sellers.

Case-in-point, there are very-a-many homes in my county that are asking way too much, NONE OF THEM MOVE until the come down in price, or simply accept a "Low ball" offer.

Autotrader can be deceiving.

However, after all is said and done about the FD's reputation, I think one such as mine is worth quite a bit. Original records, mostly stock, only modified for reliability(Temp Gauge, Aluminum AST, etc.), 9/10 condition, and original engine (<--perhaps shared by less, I like to oversee a reman or engine fix myself on MY car).

I'd ask $14k for mine if I were to sell it...

Single turbo on new engine...should see $16-20k, depending how fast you want to sell it.

For Dave's car? I would pay 20k for it with no problem if I had that kind of money. I have been in dave's car. It is immaculate. He does not let anyone smoke around it. The car is immaculate in and out. Hell, I drove around with him repeated times when he had twin set up, and that alone in my opinion would sell for 16k.

The car is very nice, and WELL maintained. I have seen some of the bullshit he went through to get that single setup.

And Dave would never sell that car. His wife would kill him.

I think CYM's are the exception to the rule. I don't see it being a problem to get 20k for a clean unmolested CYM with low milage.
