an ic or piping leak usually will NOT affect your idle or anything else, you just wont be able to boost correctly. i have split two home made pipes, and two stock ones (one homemade was cast iron) and when they do split you WILL NOT NOTICE IT. your car will just run n/a, as mine has been for the past 2 weeks (it still beats ANY minivan i see )

i dont have the rubber intercooler pipes anymore, i have greddy pipes going to the intercooler, and the idle is great ..... steady at 750-800rpm.

and the platic pipe didnt split..... it cracked underneath the tube by where the two screws that hold it down

that always breaks, sorry i couldnt help u guys on teh phone but maybe u should try squeezing a silicone coupler all the way to the middle and clamp it on either side. the oval shape of the tube will make it a pain but i think that might do the trick... if u can pull it off

thanks to dave, i have a crossover pipe on the way!!!

oh yeah, i checked the boost...... and actually installed the boost guage that has been sittin in my room for a while, and i got very inconsistent boost. the most i got was about 4lbs, which i am still very surprised with, since i have a hole that i can easily fit a finger through
