IC couplers leaking

Ok, so i noticed my coupler to my v mounted IC was leaking during boost on the track, since oil was leaking out. Yes i now have catch can.



i realized the v mount IC didn't have a weld bead so i had a shop do that to the coupler would seal. I find it still leaking and went to the "T" clamps for a better seal, but alas still leaks on the intake side. i dont want silicone or something to seal it, and i am avoiding buying another $70 fricken 3" 45degree coupler. The "T" clamps will crush the IC tube so just tightening more will not fix it. it is pissing me off since this is such a damn simple thing....



So any ideas...



BTW, what is best way to see if you have other "boost" leaks, such as the coupler on the "Y" pipe.

tclamps will fail before you crush that ic piping...

have you checked the hoses to make sure the integrity issue is not from them..

might want to look into using an efnini ypipe and gettin rid of the stocker which is proned to boost leakage via coupler..

Nope already crushed IC piping w/ the Tclamps and had to get a new pipe, since they are just aluminum



The coupler looks fine.



Can't go w/ the Y pipe now, as mine was modified by BNR to fit the turbos.



There has got to be a good way to generate some boost so i can use the bubble check for leaks. Anyway to cap off the turbo intakes and pressurize the system?

XS engineering has some neat rubber plugs that go over the turbo intakes, i clamp a rubber glove over it. mine doesnt hold as much psi, but it does work

what size piping are you using? i just noticed you wrote " another 3" dont you mean 2.75, maybe your problem is rooting from there.
