Worked up a nice little fix for the inner door handle for the passenger side. Many of you know they are weak as hell and break all to easy, and are fairly expensive for a handle. All I did was get a peice of 3/16x3/4 alm flat bar. DRill out the bottom of the handle so it would side in to the handle. Rescrewed the alm to the bracket that holds it to the door. Very strong and seems to be holding up very good. Took some fine tuning to get the flat bar the right lenght so the screw hole would line up.

On another subject has anybody had the part of the passenger handle where the lock mechanism break out. There is a little padded peice that had some factory plastic posts that broke. wondered if there was any fixes out there that hold up.

I dont have any pics sorry. Like i said though its real simple. You want to drill holes to make a "slot" for the alm to fit into. You want this slot to be fairly tight so the flat bar will not flop around. Also you want to make sure that your slot for the alm is in the same location as the plastic tab that came from the factory on the bottom of the handle, that way your handle will fit properly into the bracket and look correct with it installed These drill holes end up being fairly deep the handle is hollow, so you can run an inch or so of alm into the handle. I figured the more i could put up in the handle the more rigid and sturdy it would be. again i wasnt keeping exact mesurments because i was not really planing on doing a "how to". I did not have to mke any screw holes in the handle itself because the alm fit so snug and tight wich is a big plus. but if you wanted to or if your slot is to sloppy you could run some screws through the back of the handle that would go through the handle, and alm, and they would be out of sight.
