An FD would make a fine daily driver in a place where it doesnt snow six months out of the year, and you dont mind paying a lot for gas. Just make sure you start with a car in great shape, and keep up with all the regular maintance. My 93 FD has 150,000 miles on the chasie, and the origonal engine lasted up untill 130K. The origonal owner, daily drove it for years and was very maticilous with the maintance. Just keep up with regular fluid changes/belts/plugs etc and it will make a decient daily driver, but not cheap.

so if a motor is rebuild with out using SUPERMADHOTTRACEDRIFTO parts just stock specs, but was done properly, how well do the rebuilt motors hold up?
And what are these things thats cost so much to keep up on the FD? Maybe I'm used to dealer or free costs on things, but I'm used to building up on cars and usually change fluids every oil change or every other oil change and run sythetic. I can't see how it could be so much more expensive than saying building up an S13 over time? I mean do parts break once a month that cost $200 a pop?
The gas thing I get I did the math lol,

P.S. ahhh I live an area where it never gets hotter than 80, and during the day never colder than say 55-60...
sounds like someplace i'd like to live.
as far as daily driving an FD, i did it for 2 years. as others have said, it's not an issue if you maintain the car.
