I need help
#1
Ok - so first, let me say hi to everyone. I know it's been a katrillion years since I've been on here. If I had 29 pages of space to explain I would! I'll sum it up:
DaVinci Motorworks (Yes - you remember the guys I started a business with and they decided to shortcut everything... winding me up in the **** box with some members and having to spend TONS of money trying to get their kits right...) ANYWAY - it's gone. And with it - my life savings (around 30K give or take). Well, along with my money, some very important parts of mine are gone too. My down pipe, my map sensor, wastegate dumptube... ETC. I can't get into the place where it SUPPOSEDLY is, and Ron is nowhere to be found.
Military: Yeah - the reserves are very demanding to anyone that doesn't know... I'll leave it at that.
Job: In addition to the reserves, I'm a government contractor. Also VERY demanding.
Anyway... It's just a ton of crap all at once and I ended up selling the FD to a good friend of mine. Well, now you should start to see where I'm having trouble. YEAH - kinda hard to drive an FD without a downpipe!
Does ANYONE have one of the Davinci kits? I know Dave and Martin do... Anyone else? Maybe anyone whos car is down now that might let me borrow the DP so I can get one made? I'll pay shipping both ways, and toss in some cash for your help. I have about 2 weeks to work. And it's CRUNCH time.
If anyone can help - it would be GREAT! I'll buy one too if you're willing to sell - OR if you can get a copy made I'll pay the cost. PRETTY PLEASE HELP!
For the FD, it's back to the starting board. I have another one. SSM 93 with 70 on the clock and a new motor. I don't have it yet - and likely wont until Sept/October... But I plan on making it just as clean as the old one...
HOLLA if you can help - It sucks to be in a spot like this..

sorry to hear that drama...
why not toe the car to a shop that can do exhaust work?
It's just a v-band flange, two pieces of 3" pipe with 45* bends, and a two bolt 3" flange.
You can order both flanges from the net...and I'm sure an exhaust shop will have 45* 3" pipe.

That's likely what I'll end up doing. Was just looking for an easier method. I hate towing the FD because it's so low and these hillbillys always have a hell of a time. Even with a nice flatbed.
Thanks!

Hey Justin, Long time no see, or post or whatever.
I would send you mine If I still had it. I sold that pile of crap turbo kit about a year ago.
Good luck with the car. I would expect just about any decent mufller shop could make a better down pipe than that pile of **** that DaVinchi made.

Sorry to hear it Dave - hopefully you have a much better one now! I've spent countless hours making mine work too... guess I was just so excited to have it that I overlooked all the ****. Oh well. I learned more than one lesson with that place... THAT'S FOR SURE. It's over now - I just hope everyone bounced back faster than I will.
Anyway - I'm hoping to spend a little more time back here so hope to see ya around!
