HOLY **** JUSTIN!!!! I HAD THAT PROBLEM!!!

You have to use your old blue connector, I cut the 12 pin connector off the Jspec harness, and wired in my 10 pin connector. All the wires will be the same colors and in the same position, except for the extra wire. I don't know what it is for, I left it unconnected, had no problems!!
i thought the extra wire was the coolant level? i remember my friend saying something about it going the other way?!?! yes no?

Nope the extra wire is still a mystery. What you are talking about is the wire for the dashboard temp gauge. that wire runs the other way on the j-spec harness, so you have to cut it and make it longer to reach the sensor an a US car.

Cool. The only other thing I can think of right now is...

I have the little black box and harness under the dash, for the fan?, there is a 1 wire connector that doesn't have a home. I believe its on the body harness of the car not the engine harness. The wire is black with red spots I think and has a black connector. I don't remember unhooking it so it is probably nothing, but I'm not sure. It was 2am when I was ******* around with it.

I believe that is the wire you use to do the "fan mod" go from that wire to a toggle switch, and then to ground. hit the switch, instant fans

O.K. I'll try grounding it. Getting it running is my first priority though

Well its in and all is good so far. I still have some minor **** to button up, but I'll be putting some miles on it this week to make sure everything is kosher.

Gotta figure out why the CE light is on. Route some wires into the cabin for gauges, Fix exhaust leak at DP/midpipe connection. And some other minor ****.

Jay, you saved my ***. I was about to pull out the jspec harness and put my old shitty one back in, but you saved the day.

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED ME OUT

Nah, not until after the first of the year sometime.

Come down to the MD/VA/PA BBQ next sunday. Ito was asking about it on the other forum. Get ahold of him and you guys could drive down together. I'll buy both of you a beer
