I want to retard the timing for a notrous shot. Whats is the best way to do this w/o going stand alone? Will an MSD ignition work? I have my concerns since it only works on the leading plugs.

Without a "REAL" ecu, you are asking for trouble and playing with fire!!!

You will be rolling the dice if you tried to take that route. There's no way you'll be able to control both ends of the timing AND your fuel curves without a standalone, crucial for dealing with nitrous (which is "dicey" on a rotary anyway...)
