I think mainly you "youngin's" get grouped into the RICERs and STUNNAs because, well, most of you are that, nowadays. Its all about the rap music and the bandannas dawg...

I hear kids everyday around my car talking about how "m4d T1gHt l33t y0 isH iS?!". I bought my FD when i was 19, with MY money, i rebuilt my FD myself, did all the mods, MYSELF. I take pride in my FD, but there are way too many dumbass punk kids getting these cars who know NOTHING about them.

So if you don't want to be grouped with the rest, then don't act like the rest. Post responsibly. Whining about being "stereotyped" only pushes you further into the dumbass ricer kid category. Just post and be smart, don't worry about your age. Your posts should reflect your knowledge and maturity, not your age.

And posting about "whining" meaning you're a ricer simply reflects the lack of intelligence flowing through not just the youth.

I am not the one worried about my age, the people who seem to believe age determines ability are the ones worried about it. I simply take a stand to try and let them know what is what, i respect what older people have done, just as they need to respect what younger kids have done. Im sure everyone knows chip foose, the guy started when he WAS 7 YEARS OLD, yes seven. But you are gonna tell me kids cant possibly do what "adults" can? ok.

As for what posts should reflect, it's a public forum, they reflect opinion, character, and knowledge. There is no mandate for what they need to reflect. That's why I'm agreeing that sure maybe some are "an insult", but to characterize everyone under a common label of "kids" is simply ignorant. It is everyone's freedom, and ability, to say whatever they'd like, it is their opinion and it is a public forum. I'm in no way trying to demand that no one insult kids, I'm simply saying such a generalization is hardly correct.

Again I know it may seem offensive at times but I refuse to believe some guy 20 years older then me will do something better then me just because of those extra 20 years. Also I don't mean to put anyone down or pretend to try to silence them or whatever, i respect all opinions and feel it's your right to express them, simply respect the fact that i will express my own in reply.

exactly. too many people nowadays think that just because they're older means they can do something better than the next guy. that's the biggest crock of **** i've ever heard. i work with guys that are almost 3 times my age, yet i can do more things, and faster, than they can.

older means wiser yeah, right

I'm 18 and I'm rebuilding my FC, repainted my old FC when I was 17, and a whole bunch more. I totally agree that most kids are ricers. I hate talking to kids about there cars because it's usually **** like "I'm gonna change the torque converter on my MT this weekend" or "My NGK spark plug wires gave me like almost 10 horses." There are still a FEW other kids my age that know what tuning a car really is and I'm offended by this BS. It's like saying that all blacks are bad, but why? Because you see one on cops being chased down by the police? Stereotyping is bullshit!
