Hey everyone,
Im new the the RX-7 scene. Im a BMW guy, I drive a 3 series right now. However the car needs to go and I need something a bit different and easier to work on. I want a gen 3 RX-7, I love them, they just catch my eye and I have a hard time turning away. However, I dont know alot of these cars. I was wondering if anyone has and helpful information for me in regards to purchasing one of these cars? Any info at all would be great. Thanks in advance.

^A little info on the car and a relatively objective article written by an owner.
I've owned mine for about 8 years now and while I may get another performance car at some point, I can't imagine ever getting rid of it. That said, these cars are at least 15 years old now, and were a bit finicky from new. Unless you actually enjoy doing maintanence and at least minor diagnosis and repairs, it might not be the car for you.
If you DO get one, IMHO look for one in as close to stock condition as you can find and add no performance mods for at least the first year. Do your homework, search for info and net-work with other RESPONSIBLE owners. These cars can really respond to modifications but they can also come with consequences if not done properly and in the right order.
A side note, there might be some cars out there that appear to be in stock condition, but whose owners really just stuck the stock parts back on for the sale.
