I have been ordered to evacuate my house due to the fires. My FDs oil pressure gauge stopped working (or do I have no oil pressure?) I sure as hell ain't leavin my car here and I need some recommendations. Is there any ghetto way to see if I have oil pressure? I have oil in the car and there is no oil spotting under my car. All stores are closed from the fires so I cant go to pep boys and get something. I cant trailer my car either. Anyone have advise? Please?

Question

maybe try taking off the connector and spraying with electrical cleaner if you have it or cleaning any possible oil off of the connectors.

but shyt man if you gotta evacuate cuz of fire id say just start her up and get to safety soon cuz you wont be able to do anything if it burns to the ground in a fire or YOU burn to death while you try to figure out whats going on with your oil pressure gauge.

well.... you can take the oil filter off, and start the car... if you have a whole lot of mess to clean up, then you have oil pressure, if you dont have a mess to clean up, then i guess your oil pump is broken..... most likely you have to clean up a mess. the sending unit for the oil pressure typically ***** up in these cars
